The Surfacing / Paving Supervisor Role
The surfacing supervisor runs the paving gang on the road, coordinating paver, rollers, and lorries to lay to level, temperature and compaction while managing traffic safety and streetworks compliance. It is demanding, mobile, weather- and night-shift-driven work, so retention is a genuine problem and experienced supervisors are fought over during the surfacing season.
